SUMMARY: LC 41 0628 Requires a separate home room class in high school (if the school has home room classes) for at risk students.

REQUIREMENTS:

does not apply to special education students
student participation is voluntary
at risk is defined as students characterized by poverty, high absenteeism, academic failure, pregnancy, disruptive behavior, or other dysfunctions
in this class students shall receive specialized tutoring, mentoring, career path coaching, or other support services

EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon approval of the General Assembly and Governor.
